The One Thousand Year Village at Melrand

The village offers a view of our ancestors’life. It is exploited with a garden presenting plants used at the time, with the restoration of farm buildings nessecary to the farmer’s life, and animal races nearing those they might breed 1000 years ago.

Every year, the « Village de l’an Mil » offers entertainments througout the seasons. Over a day or a month, young and elder can take part during their visit. These unusual moments enable the discovering of a Middle Ages village in an unexpected way and by walkin around it freely. A way to learn and have fun !
